Hidde van der Wal

Hidde joined Barentz in 1988 after qualifying initially as a food technologist. He has worked throughout the organization and is a truly focused and experienced international executive. From 1994 until 2000, he was Vice President at ADM’s protein division, and then re-joined Barentz as CEO. Hidde has led Barentz through the growth of the business throughout Europe and has initiated its expansion into Asia and the Americas to create a global presence.

Jos van der Linden

Jos began his Barentz career in 1997 in the Dutch head office. With his exceptional experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and IT projects, he has made continuous business growth possible.

Kees Schepers
Executive Vice President

Kees is holding a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and drives Barentz Group M&A projects. He also has responsibility for production divisional P&L. Previously, Kees has led all Asian and American territories business development activities for Barentz. Kees builds on years of experience in the food industry with Barentz, Glanbia Nutritionals and Avebe.

Torsten Pieschnick
Executive Vice President

With a doctorate in Chemistry and profound experience in the ingredients industry, Torsten leads the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care business activities for Barentz. During his many years with Barentz, he has built strong teams to serve customers optimally.

Terry Hill
Executive Vice President

Terry Hill joined Maroon Group as CEO on May 1, 2019. Terry has served on Maroon's Board of Directors since March 2017. Terry previously spent 30 years with Univar, where he served as Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, President of Univar US, and also managed ChemPoint, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America during his tenure. He has also held leadership roles within the National Association of Chemical Distributors, serving on the Board of Directors and spearheading initiatives in e-Commerce, emerging leaders, and regulatory affairs.

Don Palm
Executive vice president

Having over 25 years in the food industry, expertise in operations and a background in business and finance, Don brings broad and diverse experience to the board.  With a demonstrated history of successful business development and knowledge gained starting and managing a US based ingredient manufacturing business, he has unique insights into what is needed to grow a successful global supplier.  Don is based in the US and manages the production entities.

Gökhan Oran
Vice President
Human Nutrition

With a Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering and two Master’s degrees in Food Production and Management, Gökhan has spent the last 20 years in executive roles within the distribution of food ingredients and specialty chemicals. He started his career at Quest International (Netherlands) in 2000 before he joined IMCD Group in 2004. Gökhan joined Barentz in 2019.


Anthony Litchfield
Vice President

Anthony joined Barentz in 2011, when Barentz acquired Forum Products Ltd. He was a board member and shareholder. With a degree in Applied Chemistry, he has spent most of his career in sales, product management and senior management roles in the pharmaceutical industry

Chris Ott
Vice president
Personal Care

Chris joined Barentz in 2015 after the acquisition of NK Chemicals Europe.  As the Global Sales Director, Chris was able to bring extensive knowledge of the Personal Care Sector alongside over 30 years’ experience in key roles within the chemical and engineering industries. After successfully building a strong European team within the Personal Care Division, Chris’s focus will now be on a global scale.

Tim Lemeer

Animal Nutrition

Before joining Barentz in 2017 Tim worked for a leading business in the organic commodities distribution active in Eastern Europe and Africa. His background is in finance and consulting and he started his career at Deloitte. He holds Master’s Degrees in Industrial Engineering & Management and in Finance.
