About this role

Job purpose

The Data Manager in the Commercial Center of Excellence department is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing commercial data to support business strategies, sales performance, and customer insights. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and usability of data while implementing best practices in data governance, analytics, and reporting. The Data Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and IT, to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance commercial performance.

Tasks and responsibilities

1. Commercial Data Management & Governance

  • Oversee the collection, processing, and storage of commercial data from various sources (CRM, ERP, etc.).
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement data management best practices and processes, including data governance frameworks and standards.

2. Commercial Tools Optimisation

  • Participate in optimizing commercial data systems.
  • Work with sales teams to improve data capture.
  • Ensure system integration and data consistency across multiple platforms.

3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partnered with sales, finance, and IT teams to align data strategies with business objectives.
  • Active contact with business organizations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for data-related needs and decision-making support.
  • Train and support commercial teams on data analytics tools and best practices.

4. Data Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company security policies in alignment with legal and information security
  • Manage user access and permissions for commercial data tools and databases.

About You

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related role, preferably in a commercial or sales-driven environment.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and BI tools.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge in SQL, Python, R, or other data manipulation languages.
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics, etc.).
  • Strong Excel and database management skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and continuous learning mindset.
