About this role
Job Purpose
The EMEA Director of S&OP, Demand and Supply Planning is responsible for leading and optimizing the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across the EMEA region. This role ensures alignment between regional demand forecasts, supply capabilities, and business goals, driving customer service, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
S&OP and Strategic Leadership:
Lead and mature the Regional/Cluster S&OP process(es) to ensure alignment across Divisional-Sales, Finance, Principals, and Supply Chain Teams.
Partner with senior leadership to drive demand consensus and supply strategy decisions.
Demand & Supply Planning:
Oversee the development and accuracy of the regional demand forecasts.
Ensure supply planning processes meet customer demand while optimizing cost, inventory, and maximizing Service.
Align purchasing plans with financial and commercial targets.
Provide visibility of the Principal Contract consumption adherence.
Team Management:
Build and lead a high-performing team of demand planners, supply planners, and S&OP leaders across multiple markets.
Provide coaching, development, and performance management.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
Drive best-in-class planning processes, tools, and systems (e.g., MRP in Dynamics 365 – F&O).
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to increase forecast accuracy, reduce lead times, reduce inventory, and improve agility.
Collaboration & Communication:
Act as the key point of contact between the EMEA region and global supply chain functions.
Facilitate executive S&OP reviews with Regional Leaders (Divisions) and ensure effective communication of planning decisions and impacts.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or master’s preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong experience leading S&OP processes in complex, multinational environments.
Proven track record in demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimization.
Familiarity with planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Anaplan, etc.).
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to influence and align cross-functional and cross-regional teams
