About this role

Job Purpose

This role reports to the Head of Project Delivery & PMO and works as a member of the Project Management IT team executing IT-related projects for Barentz. Within the team, individual ownership and self-sufficiency are expected, as well as the ability to collaborate with remote colleagues.

This role requires technical project management experience, preferably in the areas of IT infrastructure and Cyber Security.

Among others, you will:

  • Deliver projects successfully within the agreed cost, schedule, and scope.
  • Create & manage project plans, including change management.
  • Define project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Align project objectives with company strategy, and make sure the project team is clear on objectives.
  • Deliver and install technology solutions.
  • Help project team with design and development tasks.
  • Lead process of issue identification and resolution
  • Manage risk tracking process.
  • Monitor and manage the scope.
  • Manage all documentation and where required create project documents.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Foster partnerships with customers/stakeholders/sponsors

Critical results

  • Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of a project
  • Apply organizational process assets (e.g., communication requirements, instructions, templates)

Responsibilities

  • Manage constraints (scope, schedule, cost, quality) of the individual project
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and requirements in a cooperative manner
  • Focus the efforts of project members towards a common goal and enable them to work as a team
  • Ensures effective communication within the project team and between the project manager, team members, and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensures resource availability and allocation
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Manage scope change
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Negotiations and conflict management

About You

  • Experience in managing IT projects, preferably IT infrastructure and Cyber security related projects.
  • Experience in project team management as a dynamic and energetic leader
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Thrives in collaborative, matrix environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with customers, team and stakeholders
  • Business & IT strategy experience
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Knowledge of related software tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with senior IT Leadership and associates at all levels
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a high proficiency level
