We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team based in Warsaw, Poland.

Please note: This position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and ensure records are up to date.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track expenses, and manage payments. Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements by comparing them with general ledger entries.
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain Documentation: Organize and maintain financial files and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Support Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end closing process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and reports.
  • Assist with Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Support Senior Accountants: Assist senior accountants with various tasks and projects as needed.

About You

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred, but recent graduates with relevant internships will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software such as MS Dynamic 365, SAP, or similar is preferred.
  • Conversational level of English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
