About the role
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of pricing? As the Pricing Manager for EMEA, you will play a key role in transforming our pricing strategies across all divisions, setting the stage for success. You’ll have the opportunity to create impactful changes, optimize sales, pricing, and quotation processes, and help Barentz extract maximum value from our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a leader and strategic partner, driving performance and delivering impactful results through innovative pricing strategies.
- Support and enhance our pricing excellence program, continuously optimizing structures and practices for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain and refine pricing frameworks, establishing new initiatives to further streamline processes.
- Monitor key pricing KPIs and provide critical insights and reports directly to senior leadership.
- Ensure smooth pricing processes and adherence across divisions, fostering collaboration between key stakeholders.
- Serve as the key advisor, bridging Sales, Principal Management, Finance, and Management to solve pricing challenges and improve strategies.
- Promote active communication and collaboration between HQ, regional teams, and divisions, ensuring consistency and alignment.
- Build, manage, and mentor a dedicated pricing team (1-2 FTE), driving success through strong leadership and coaching.
Critical results
- Lead the creation and implementation of a new Central Pricing Team and methodology within Barentz EMEA, driving impactful changes across divisions.
- Play a key role in guiding and supporting the sales organization through transformative change, ensuring seamless adaptation to new pricing strategies.
- Leverage your deep expertise to elevate Barentz to a more advanced and professional level in pricing, positioning us as industry leaders.
- Take the lead in implementing advanced tools like PO&M and CPQ, while setting up comprehensive reporting and KPIs to drive pricing excellence.
About you
Education / Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a B2B environment, ideally within distribution, wholesale, or ingredients, with a focus on multi-national, matrix-structured companies.
- A university degree is a minimum requirement, ensuring a solid academic background.
- Extensive program and project management experience in complex, multinational organizations, showcasing your ability to drive and manage large-scale initiatives.
- Experience with implementing CPQ and PO&M systems is a strong plus, positioning you as a leader in optimizing pricing processes.
Skills
- Strong understanding of B2B sales and quotation processes, with hands-on pricing experience in areas like price waterfalls, discount matrices, and project pricing.
- Pricing experience (e.g. with price waterfalls, discount matrices, list price determination and portfolio structure, and project pricing)
- Outstanding ability to source, analyze, and present complex data in an international environment, turning insights into actionable strategies.
- Program and project management, driving complex decisions while leading functional expert teams to success.
- A motivated, results-oriented team player with a focus on delivering impact and making a positive contribution to company goals.
- Skilled at improving existing processes and implementing new procedures and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Enthusiastic, with a flexible, can-do attitude and a strong sense of ownership to drive success.Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, with the ability to influence without authority in a team-oriented, matrix management structure.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), with other language skills being an added advantage.
- Discreet, sensitive to the needs of large organizations, with well-developed business acumen.
- A master of organization, delivering accurate, complete work on time while solving problems with a common-sense, hands-on approach.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively, work under pressure, and meet reporting deadlines with ease.
