We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our Quality and Regulatory team. This role will be based within easy reach of our Wakefield and Reigate offices in the UK, with occasional travel to our Dublin office in Ireland.

About this role

Job Purpose

Are you seeking a new career challenge within a dynamic international company? As part of our Quality Management team, you will take ownership of the Quality Management System at our Barentz-owned warehouse and oversee the continued compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP+, Organic, and Good Distribution Practice for pharmaceutical excipients standards. You will also ensure full compliance across warehousing, logistics, and distribution while driving continuous improvement and maintaining audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wakefield Warehouse (Site specific)

  • Own and manage the site-specific QMS

  • Develop and maintain SOPs tailored to warehousing and logistics requirements

  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001, HACCP, GMP+, Organic certification and GDP

  • Conduct quality-related training

  • Conduct and follow up on internal and external audits, non-conformities, CAPA, and continuous improvement actions

  • Work closely with warehouse operations and third-party logistics providers to uphold quality standards

  • Act as the main point of contact for certification bodies - managing inspections, renewals, and documentation

UK & Ireland (Regional Scope)

  • Own and manage site-specific QMS

  • Conduct quality-related training

  • Conduct and follow up on internal and external audits, non-conformities, CAPA, and continuous improvement actions

  • Act as the main point of contact for quality-related activities, liaising with sales, supply chain, and local management teams

  • Act as the main point of contact for certification bodies - managing inspections, renewals, and documentation

  • Ensure audit readiness for all relevant certifications

  • Collaborate with EMEA and local business units to harmonize standards across the region

About You

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a quality-related environment

  • 3 to 5 years of Management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in food or feed nutrition

  • Proven track record as a Quality Manager in logistics or distribution environments

Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP+, GDP, and Organic certification

  • Experience in developing and managing integrated management systems

  • Skilled in auditing (internal audits, certification audits, logistics)

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to implement effective CAPA and system improvements.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and locations.

  • Effective communicator with internal stakeholders and external partners (customers, suppliers, auditors)
