About this role
Function
As Sales Manager of Human Nutrition, you use your knowledge and commercial qualities to generate (new) sales at our current and new relationships, aligned with the sales strategy to ensure the achievement of sales targets. You support our customers in finding the best (customized) solutions. In this position, you will report to the Area Sales Manager of Human Nutrition for the Netherlands
Your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Maintaining existing relationships and actively developing new contacts.
- Initiate/follow up sales, including price offers, product and sales data, orders, forecast- and contract management, samples, complaints, and projects.
- Realize sales targets and budget.
- Visit and advise customers on the application of the range and development.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, traders, and customers, and internally with Sales Support, Supply Chain, and QA.
- Purchase products for sales purposes, in collaboration with Demand Planning and Supply Chain.
- Maintaining commercial contacts with principals and a role as principal manager for some of these principals.
- Develop new strategic business partners/principals, in collaboration with New Business Development.
- Correct sales and customer data processing in CRM and keeping this data up to date.
- Keep abreast of developments in the food industry.
- Collect and update market info in CRM to support today's and future business.
- Representing Barentz in commercial activities including trade fairs, symposia, and Webinars.
Your working area is the Netherlands, and you visit our regional sales office in Hoofddorp on average 1 day a week.
About You
Education and Experience:
- You have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent within the focus area of Human Nutrition.
- You have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a relevant field or related experience.
- Specific market segments and/or application expertise are beneficial.
- Language: fluent in Dutch, both orally and in writing.
Skills / Profile
- You have commercial skills and experience to develop and grow new business including onboarding of new suppliers and expansion of product portfolio.
- You have the technological knowledge or affinity to be able to offer the right solution to the customer.
- You have good communication skills to make good contacts within various disciplines.
- You are a proactive salesperson who can work independently and systematically, and able to manage complexity.
- Acquainted with ERP & CRM systems
