About this role
Job Purpose
We are searching for a Sales Manager to join our Performance Materials Division in Turkey with a deep understanding of the Plastic, coating, energy, and other chemical ingredients market, especially in the Compounding & Masterbatches area. A person who is knowledgeable and well-networked across the Turkish chemical manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for handling General Sales Operations, including face-to-face and remote selling to both new and existing customers through various sales channels, assessing customer needs, developing sales bids and proposals and executing the sales contracts, identifying and building relationships with prospective customers, aligned with the sales strategy to ensure the achievement of sales targets.
Tasks and responsibilities
Managing the following General Sales Operations processes to ensure the achievement of sales targets:
Sales of products to B2B customersDevelopment of existing and new B2B customersConsultation of customers in their formulations and application developments
- Project pipeline management, documentation, and follow-up.
- After-sales service non-conformity management
- Budget, forecast, stock optimization, price, and margin management.
- Continuous collection and documentation (ERP/CRM) of market information about customers, products, competition, suppliers, applications, and market trends
- Execution of sales and marketing strategies
- Active contribution to rollouts of new principals
- Contribution as local principal manager for dedicated principals
- Initiate/follow up sales, including price indications, offers, product and sales data, orders, forecasts, contracts, samples, complaints, and projects.
- Realize sales targets and budget.
- Visit customers for sales and customer satisfaction purposes.
- Develop new strategic business partners/principals.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, traders, and customers, as well as internally with supply chain, customer service, and QA.
- Purchase products for sales purposes, in collaboration with Supply Chain and QA where needed.
- Enter all sales-related activities in CRM: Visits, Calls, Samples, Business Opportunities, and Quotes.
- Report sales orders and customer or product data in CRM.
- Process distribution, drop shipment, and commission orders.
- Helped manage old stock and decide on old stock use for sales orders.
- Sign off/approve margin calculations and prices.
- Collect and send related documents to the Supply Chain or QA.
- Collect and update market info in CRM to support today's and future business.
- Correct sales and customer data processing in CRM / Scala and keep this data up to date.
- Respect ISO & QA procedures and collaborate with QA in case of (new) product verification.
- Represent the company at industry-related trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Achieve KPI’s.
About You
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
- 3 or more years of sales experience in Performance Materials ingredients.
- Language: Advanced level of written and verbal English + local language
- Knowledgeable and well-networked across the Turkish Performance Materials manufacturing industry with key contacts at all levels.
