About this role

Job purpose

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing the supply replenishment process, issuing purchasing orders, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring a smooth supply chain operation. This role involves coordinating with Principals (suppliers), Principal Management Team, Demand Planning Team, Logistics, and Sales Support Team to ensure cost efficiency and service levels of Suppliers to Barentz which will result in Service Levels to Barentz Customers.

Critical results

Monitoring and achieving Purchase Order process efficiency and accuracy, inventory level targets, service to customers, service from Principals (Suppliers) to Barentz, purchase proposal accuracy, and support purchase contract management process.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations to optimize stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborate with the sales and supply chain team to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with demand forecasts.
  • Creating net demand volumes from sales forecast considering current stock levels and open sale- & purchase ordersIssuing Purchase Orders efficiently and tracking order status to ensure on-time delivery, either manually or via the MRP calculations.
  • Receive, process, and maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase orders in the Barentz systems.
  • Continuously assess and improve the purchase order process to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to Logistics, Quality or Delivery.
  • When required, support the Principal (Supplier Team) & Logistic Teams to negotiate and implement Logistic Terms with Principals to ensure a cost-effective operation.
  • Identify potential supply risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

About You

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a relevant field or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics coordination inventory management and supply chain planning.

Skills/profile:

  • Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Works independently with general supervision.
  • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, with experience using Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
