Barentz has been active in Russia since 2004, and from 2007 onward established its own trading house. Right from the start of our business in Russia, we have been inherently involved in developing interesting ingredients projects together with our customers.

At Barentz, we hold quite a strong position in the supply of ingredients to local Russian personal care brands, as well as to international brands with production facilities in Russia. When we refer to Russia, we mean the Custom Union that includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kirghizia.

We can provide you with all the ingredients needed to produce almost all ranges of products for home care and all other lines of personal care, including: skin care (creams, lotions, sunscreen products), oral care (toothpastes, mouthwashes) and hair care (styling products, shampoos and conditioners and colouring products) products.

We are especially knowledgeable on anti-aging ingredients, as well as in ingredients for cosmetics, lipsticks and make-up removal and skin cleansing products.

Our focus areas in the Human Nutrition market are meat-processing, confectionery, bakery, savoury, infant nutrition, sports nutrition and dairy.

In 2019 Barentz acquired a majority share in IMCoPharma, a full-service pharmaceutical ingredients company that researches, markets and distributes European highest quality products in the CIS region and Ukraine.
