As the pandemic pushes on and masks remain incorporated in our daily lives, maskne has become prevalent amongst all ages and genders. “Maskne” is acne induced by wearing a mask, and so this product range is the perfect solution for combating this trending issue. This product range was created to showcase the versatility of Roquette's salicylic acid alternative Beaute By Roquette’s SA 130.
With BBR SA 130 functioning as the main active, our anti-acne kit was created to combat these main causes of acne:
Excess oil (sebum) production
Hair follicles clogged by oil and dead skin cells
Overpopulation of bacteria
Inflammation
The maskne fix skincare range is intended to be used as a full routine, so each product has a vital role in the skincare regime.
1. Anti-Acne Gummy Cleanser
contains Benecel E10M, one of Ashland’s cellulose thickeners and BBR SA 130 working to unclog pores and remove excess oils/ sebum.
2. Pore Blaster Tonic
Provides hydration for the skin from the panthenol present and the BBR PO 500 which also functions as a microbiota balancing agent.
Ashlands Cotton Bloom 5S is also present and works to reduce the redness appearance often associated with acne.
3. Oil-Balancing Lotion
Contains a combination of the BBR DS 146 and BBR DS 112 to create a very stable emulsion. BBR SA 130 is present alongside Variati’s active Evosina Na2 GP, as Variati's active has a high antimicrobial power against gram positive bacteria.
4. On-The-Spot Blemish Corrector
Contains BBR ST 720 which creates a peelable film on top of the skin.
It also contains Chemyunion’s Biolumita which is a brightening agent that works well to reduce the appearance of post acne scarring.
5. Marshmallow Mask
Contains BBR ST 118 which gives the mask a pleasant skin feel and makes the self-care experience very pleasurable.
The mask also contains CLR Berlin’s CutiBiome CLR which reduces sebum production, and BBR CD 100 which functions well to absorb sebum already present on the skin.
